Estimation of the Electrical / Mechanical Scope

Snowy 2.0 project is a new pumped hydro capability to provide additional generation capacity by up to 2,000 megawatts.
Senior Electrical / Communications Estimator providing first principals estimating, services. Including the overall project indirects / overhead costs based on constructability planning and proposed implementation. Estimation of options for proposed cost benefit analysis was also undertaken. 
In addition, project cash flow complete with P6 schedule integration, escalation for valuation model inputs in real and nominal terms over time.
Civil / Electrical & Mechanical tender submission comparison and analysis complete with a bespoke analysis model specifically created to meet the project and client requirements.

Estimation, Cost Control & Change Management

Cost, Estimation & Change Manager assigned to implement the new Cost Management system Prism. Ensuring links between Primavera P6 were linked at task level to guarantee total integration for, overall progress measurement and accurate forecasting of remaining works. Part of this role included management and review on behalf of the Estimating Team and Change Management. With the integration of Change into the prism software confirming trends are identified, overall cost position including potential costs are reportable and in line with the schedule.                                                                                                                 
As Cost Manager, the Water Treatment Facilities cost management system analysis also identified saving of in excess of $170M with, total contract value of circa $800M. Post this, Steve continued on in Water Treatment Facilities to, manage the completion of works and project closeout.

Scope & Estmating System Development and Implementation

System design, development & implementation of a robust scoping & estimating system which, will integrate into the existing Powerlink business management system. 
Extensive stakeholder engagement was implemented, to confirm the outcomes were incorporated into the final deliverable; the production of guidelines, procedures and templates. This process allows the Estimating Team far more accurate outcomes, within a robust delivery system.

Constructability Assessment and Estimation

QUU has requested assistance with the estimation of several sewerage treatment plants across south east Queensland. 
The existing plants require demolition of existing facilities, upgrade and installation of new services. Constructability assessments are required to ensure the facilities remain operational during construction.
